FR-Flare / FR-Drain Tanks
When it comes to safe and secure underground storage of liquids, Northern Steels Fiberglass coated steel tanks (FR-Flare &/or FR-Drain) meet or exceed all G-55, ULC and UL criteria.
These tanks’ unique design of a strong steel primary tank, enclosed within a 360 degree Fiberglass Re-enforced Plastic secondary containment jacket. This FRP secondary makes this already superior tank double wall with a monitorable interstitial space.
NSIs underground storage tanks offer Flare Knock-Out, Condensate and just about any kind of storage designs. These tanks come in both standard and custom sizes from 30 BBL to 625 BBL. Primary Epoxy or FRP coatings available upon request.

Tank Anchors: Optional
- No pour-in-place pad is necessary.
- Tank anchors can be shipped on the lame load(s) as tank(s), therefore eliminating additional shipping costs.
- No waiting for pour-in-place concrete pad to cure.
- Can be installed in a wet hole installation.
- Eliminates the threat of tank floatation due to high water table.
- Hold-down system has been designed for a full out force of 25,000 lbs.
- Tank anchor straps and hardware have a two (2) year warranty.
- Anchors fit parallel and near the tank ends, reducing hole size and costs
